Corporate/Group Events & Parties

The Underground is pleased to offer the following accommodations for corporate or group events and parties. In addition to our collection of classic games you may elect to use our party room, which will allow you a private space to host your group, with tables and seating for up to 20 people. All guests, playing games or not, require admission to be admitted to the party room, either as part of your group rate or individually. Should you elect to use the party room, you may bring in food (pizza and cake are idea, but no ice cream please,) but your beverages must be purchased from us and all refreshments must stay in the party room – please do not allow your guests to bring food or drink out on to the gaming floors.  We will gladly set up a tab for your group to help make treating your guests to drinks as easy as possible. You also have the option to schedule your event outside of our regular operating hours – we’re happy to open early, giving  your party exclusive use of the arcade! We regret that no alcohol is allowed at the Retrocade, but your admission always includes come and go access, so you’re always just a few steps away from a wide range of drinking establishments! A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled start to ensure you can greet your guests upon arrival as they will not be allowed to play the games until you have arrived.

A la carte – only have a few guests? It’s most economical to simply purchase an all-day entry for each. Want to serve food or cake? Party room available with advance reservation – see below. Even if you don’t plan to book a party room, please pay us the courtesy of calling well in advance to let us know when you’ll arrive and the approximate size of your party prior to sending out your invitations to avoid any potential conflict.

Group discounted rate – available for groups of 15 or more, save $2 off the $15 entry fee for each person. All entries must be purchased with a single transaction before anyone may enter, and group discounted rates are only available when booked at least 1 week in advance. Have more than 40 people? Party packages start at $150, which includes 10 (ten) 2-hour admissions with concurrent use of our party room included. Additional guests are $10 each, up to a maximum of 30 guests. You may decorate the room with balloons or bring  a theme tablecloth, but nothing may be adhered or tacked to walls, and no glitter or or other “scatter” are allowed. If your guest of honor is under 14 we have a minimum adult:child ratio; we regret that we cannot host parties for children under the age of 10

Chaperonage requirements for children’s parties:

average age 10-11: 1 adult for every 3 children
average age 12-14: 1 adult for every 4 children

ALL children 6 and under must have an adult directly supervising them at all times. Also, pinball requires direct 1:1 supervision of any players under age 9. We do not recommend bringing children ages 4 and under to the Retrocade. Remember: everyone entering the arcade requires an admission, playing or not.
Other special considerations when hosting a children’s party – parents dropping off or picking up children may only play the games with a paid entry. You must stay to accompany any unchaperoned children awaiting pickup or take them with you when you leave – they cannot be left behind alone to await their parent. If you will be treating your guests with gift bags that contain candy or objects in wrappers, please hold off on distributing them until your guests exit the arcade to reduce the temptation to litter.

Special Options
  • Party Room – available with a la carte or group rate admissions for $50/1st hr & $25/hr thereafter upon request (subject to availability.) Need to seat more than 20 guests at the same time? We’re happy to arrange banquet seating in the forward area of the 2nd floor for an additional fee (based on number of tables and chairs required, budget approximately $200/50 seats w/ tables, no linens provided) – best used with Full Private Rental, below, as the forward area of the 2nd floor is not completely private. We will happily assist with any catering arrangements you may require.
  • Open Early – this $50 option provides exclusive use of the entire arcade by your party and is available by scheduling your party’s start time up to 1 hour before that day’s regular arcade opening.
  • Full Private Rental – (must be reserved at least 45 days in advance) the entire arcade can be rented exclusively for your large group. Available Monday or Tuesday during regular operating hours for a $500 flat fee OR any day OUTSIDE of regular operating hours for up to 3 hours for $250. Flat fee covers first 50 admissions. Additional admissions up to a maximum group capacity of 100 people are $5/each. Regular child supervision rules apply – each child 8 or under (14 or under for pinball) must be directly supervised by an adult on a 1:1 ratio. A 50% non-refundable deposit required to reserve your date.
